PTI Paints Rosy Outlook for 3Q15 Shipments
June 22, 2015

IC packaging and testing service provider PTI (Powertech Technology Inc.) expects around 10% sequential growth in third-quarter revenue due to the pull-in demand for mobile DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory) and NAND flash memory, as well as SSD (Solid State Drive) packaging & testing and module contract manufacturing services, reported Commercial Times on June 22. The strong demand comes from Micron and Toshiba, both are PTI's key accounts and component suppliers of Apple iPhone. For logic IC business, PTI has become TI's (Texas Instruments) supplier of power management ICs while its newly acquired wafer bumping facilities in Singapore have received Broadcom's orders. PTI's logic IC facilities are slated to launch mass production in 2H15 and will begin contributing to the company's revenue since 2016.
